The executive board of the International Monetary Fund gave the green light to increase its ongoing programme with Argentina on October 26, following months of higher market turbulence.
The three-year standby arrangement approved in June has been boosted to $56.3 billion, up from $50 billion, making it the largest programme in the IMFâs history. The fund also completed the first review of the programme, which allows national authorities to draw $5.7 billion.
